OPD

The Surgical Gastroenterology Outpatient Department (OPD) is a specialized unit dedicated to the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of diseases related to the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, liver, pancreas, and biliary system that may require surgical intervention. This OPD caters to patients presenting with a wide range of conditions including disorders of the esophagus, stomach, small and large intestine, liver diseases, gallbladder and bile duct conditions, pancreatic disorders, and colorectal diseases.

Patients are assessed through detailed clinical examination, review of previous medical records, and necessary diagnostic investigations such as endoscopy, imaging studies, and laboratory tests. Based on evaluation, patients are managed conservatively or advised surgical intervention when indicated.

Ward

The Surgical Gastroenterology Ward is a specialized inpatient unit dedicated to the comprehensive care of patients undergoing treatment for gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, and pancreatic diseases requiring surgical management. The ward provides pre-operative, post-operative, and critical supportive care to patients with conditions involving the esophagus, stomach, intestines, liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, pancreas, and colorectal region. It is equipped to manage both elective and emergency surgical cases.

The ward is staffed by a multidisciplinary team including surgical gastroenterologists, resident doctors, trained nursing staff, dieticians, and support personnel to ensure holistic patient care.

OT

The Surgical Gastroenterology Operation Theatre (OT) is a specialized, fully equipped surgical facility dedicated to performing advanced procedures related to the gastrointestinal tract, hepatobiliary system, and pancreas.

The OT is designed to maintain the highest standards of sterility, safety, and efficiency, ensuring optimal surgical outcomes. It is equipped with modern surgical instruments and advanced technologies to support both open and minimally invasive (laparoscopic) procedures. A wide range of surgeries are performed, including procedures involving the esophagus, stomach, small and large intestines, liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, pancreas, and colorectal region. Both elective and emergency surgeries are carried out.
