Bachelor of Radiation Therapy Technology (B.RTT) focuses on the use of ionizing radiation for cancer treatment, involving radiation therapy techniques, treatment planning, and patient care to target and eliminate cancerous cells.
The Radiation Therapist (RTT) is a member of the multidisciplinary team comprised primarily of the clinician (radiation oncologist), medical physicist and support staff as considered necessary in the local setting. They are the professionals with direct responsibility for the daily administration of radiotherapy treatment to cancer patients.
Bachelor of Radiation Therapy Technology (B.RTT) graduates can become radiation therapists, dosimetrists, or pursue roles in cancer treatment centers, hospitals, and research institutions, specializing in administering radiation therapy and providing patient care.
