B.Sc. Ophthalmic Techniques and Optometry focuses on training professionals in eye care, covering diagnostic procedures, vision correction, and optometric interventions to preserve and enhance visual health and quality of life.
Optometrists are primary health care practitioners of the eye and visual system who provide comprehensive eye and vision care, which includes refraction and dispensing, detection/diagnosis and co-management of disease in the eye and the rehabilitation of conditions of the visual system
B.Sc. Ophthalmic Techniques and Optometry graduates can work as optometrists, ophthalmic technicians, vision therapists, or pursue roles in eye clinics, hospitals, optical industries, and academic institutions.
