Seminar-cum-Workshop on “Yoga Science and Technology in Healthcare: Integrating Artificial Intelligence”
A seminar-cum-workshop on the theme “Yoga Science and Technology in Healthcare: Integrating Artificial Intelligence” was organized at MGUMST, Jaipur, bringing together experts, researchers, academicians, and Yoga practitioners to explore innovative intersections between Yoga, healthcare, and emerging technologies.
The seminar was inaugurated by Dr. N. D. Soni, Dean, Principal and Controller, MGMC&H, who served as the Chief Guest. In his keynote address, he highlighted the growing potential of integrating Yoga with Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare systems and emphasized the need for robust scientific research to further strengthen the evidence base supporting Yoga interventions.
The technical session featured presentations by eminent speakers including Dr. Hukum Singh Saini, Associate Professor, Jagannath University; Dr. Sunil Sharma, Assistant Professor, CYWIM, MGUMST; Shri Satyam Tiwari, Research Scholar, IIT Mandi; and Shri Manish Sharma, Ph.D. Scholar, CYWIM, MGUMST. The speakers discussed emerging trends at the convergence of Yoga, healthcare technology, and Artificial Intelligence, while also showcasing innovative Yogic assessment and measurement tools developed by their research teams.
The practical workshop session focused on the application of Yoga techniques for health promotion and lifestyle management. Swami Jitanand Ji Maharaj conducted an insightful session on the importance of regular Yogic practice for achieving a balanced and healthy life, accompanied by a live Yoga demonstration.
Yogacharya Dhakaram delivered a session highlighting the therapeutic benefits of laughter and its positive impact on mental health and emotional well-being. Yogini Hemlata Sharma emphasized the role of meditation in cultivating mindfulness, inner peace, and psychological resilience.
The programme provided a valuable platform for dialogue on integrating traditional Yogic wisdom with modern technological innovations, particularly Artificial Intelligence, to enhance healthcare delivery, research, and wellness outcomes.
